The One with the Petition to Ask Warner Brothers (WB) To Allow Use of Friends Scripts on Non-Profit Fan Sites
The sample letter below is provided if you're really stuck and don't
know what to say. Try not to copy it word for word -- add a few lines
about your own personal interest in the show, maybe even about your
favorite characters, etc. Ten individual letters are a lot more
effective than 100 identical letters.
| Be sure to also sign your full name with address and phone number, not just an email address or an alias. We want to convince Warner Brothers that there are a lot of Friends fans who want this, and using an alias or just an email address may make them wonder if a single person is submitting multiple letters.
Dear Marc, I am writing to request that Warner Brothers re-consider its policy regarding the use of transcribed Friends scripts on non-profit Friends fan sites. I am a big fan of the show, and having Friends scripts available online is very helpful to me, as I enjoy reading them, searching through them for my favorite lines, and otherwise having the ability to use them. Having the scripts online actually helps me enjoy the show more. I appreciate your consideration. With kind regards,
Your Name
